In the past, it has been our policy to collect registration fees for our training workshops in advance. However, we haven’t stuck to that policy very well. We’ve allowed people to sign up without paying the registration fees and many times the workshop attendees would pay us the day of the class.

The problem is; this has gotten out of hand. Many classes appear to be full because that’s how it looks on paper. We have turned many people away because of this fact only to have half the people actually show up the day of the class which leaves us with empty seats.

This isn’t fair to the people who are turned away and have to wait several months before the same class is offered again, many times putting them over a deadline to have credit for the specific training.

So to make it fair to everyone, we will register someone for a training workshop only when payment is received, and there will be no refunds for unattended classes. And as a reminder; classes fill up fast so signing up early is a very good idea.

Thank you,
The Child Care Network Staff
