Suggestions for Promoting Your Cooperative Marketing Event

1. Flyers & Signs -- Post in schools, church bulletins, in the Chamber of Commerce office and newsletters, in local businesses, at clubs and community recreations centers, at golf courses, in hospitals, doctors offices, dentist offices, on car windshields in parking lots, and use as door hangers in neighborhoods. Distribute in meetings, at social events, or at ball games. You may be able to get donated copy & production assistance from local businesses such as office supply stores, hardware and grocery stores, print shops, and schools.
2. Radio Announcements -- The local radio station may be willing to do a free public service announcement for your event, especially if the proceeds will go to a charitable cause.

3. Make sandwich signs, and enlist volunteers to wear them at sporting events, the Union County Fair, Honda Homecoming, the All Ohio Balloon Festival, or simply anywhere that there is likely to be a large crowd of observers. Make sure the signs are simply printed, with the minimum amount of needed information. Bright colors draw attention!

4. Announcements over Public Address Systems -- In schools, churches, or at any event where one is available and appropriate for use in this way.

5. Phone calls -- Call all members of your organization and have them call at least 5-10 people. This ‘telephone tag’ is inexpensive and quick to do, and makes the people feel personally invited!

6. E-mails and Web Pages -- Post a notice on your organization’s web page, or if you just use e-mail on a regular basis, send a message detailing all the necessary information (including directions Wendy’s!), and ask your e-mail buddies to pass your message to along to all residents and business people in the community on their mailing list.

7. Ask large corporations such as Honda, Scotts and others to help by posting signs on bulletin boards, in lunch rooms, restrooms and hallways. They may even donate copying assistance for very big fundraisers.
8. Wendy’s of Marysville -- We will gladly post signs that you have made in both of locations!
